Monday.
Again taiji. For the last time in this visit to China – it would be a bit too
strenuous to get up that early with all the classes and trips during the
workdays.
Having said
goodbye to taiji masters and practitioners, we (me, Alasdair and Sarah) went
back to the university campus and had a great opportunity to experience workday
early morning Guangzhou traffic jams.
As a result, I learnt how to say “I am
late” in Chinese. Like this, approximately: 我迟到了.
And to be polite it is better
to add 对不起. J
After the
class of spoken Chinese we had a great calligraphy class where I learnt to work
on self-improvement: 自强不息. Or at least on writing about it.

The second
half of the day was about travelling to some shopping malls by metro with our nice
Chinese student volunteers.

The main
impressions were a huge shopping mall…
…and one of
the key underground stations at peak time.
